This section contains Bids and Tender opportunities for the whole of the HartRAO and SARAO facilities.
The National Research Foundation (NRF) as well as the National Facilities are guided by the NRF Supply Chain Management Policy in its procurement of goods and services.
The Supply Chain Management policy adheres to the National Treasury’s prescribed supply chain system framework for public entities listed in Schedule 3A of the PFMA Act. The NRF’s Supply Chain Management Policy and the conduct of supply chain management at the NRF seeks to give effect to section 217 of the South African Constitution which requires that all procurement of goods and services must be done in a manner that is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective.

- Compulsary: Central Supplier Database (CSD) Registration is required for each supplier
CSD Registration:
According new legislation which came into effect on 1 April 2016, we need suppliers to be registered on the SA Governments online Central Supplier
Database (CSD). This will enable you to do business with ANY government department.

The registration process only takes 15-20 Minutes. Once you have a profile you may register your company / companies. After registration, suppliers will get a supplier number. Every time you do business with state/Government we require your CSD supplier number.
